Amanda Kiely
Amanda started yoga in her twenties as a supplement to other activities as she's always had a movement practice. When she moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2010, she began trail running and yoga really complemented the effects that long days on the trails had on her body.
It wasn’t until a few years ago when she had limited movement due to illness that she really immersed herself in the other aspects of yoga such as mediation and breathwork. She also fell in love with restorative yoga as it completely soothed her burnt out system. When Amanda understood the huge impact that yoga had on all aspects of her life, she decided teaching was a path she had to embark on. Amanda wanted to share the amazing gifts yoga gave to her with others! Amanda feels blessed to share her practice. When she's not practicing yoga you’ll find her running through the National Park, swimming or cooking wholesome organic food for her family and friends. |
Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to?
It will be what you perceive it to be, choose well.
How do you fill up your love tank?
Laughing and sharing delicious meals with my family. Practising Yoga, meditation, swims and runs with friends.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time? Just go. Have a chat to the studio beforehand and choose a class that suits what you feel your needs are to start with. Everyone has been a beginner but yoga is such a welcoming space.
