Andy Squires
On return to Australia in 2006 Andy was introduced to Yoga via a Mediation and Pranayama workshop. This was indeed a time in his life where he was in need of balance and calm. He was very curious and loved the feeling during and post meditation, he related and was drawn to the fellow students, teacher and feeling when in the space. Andy delved into a daily asana practice in studios or at home and often outdoors in nature.
His resilience is often tested in the corporate world, the past 10+ years Andy has enjoyed leading and inspiring Commercial and Retail Banking teams. In 2015 Andy was confronted with a wellbeing challenge, heart palpitations (anxiety) hit often and in times at the workplace and home. Reflecting on this time in his life, he learnt so much and was very grateful for the support of family, friends and the yoga community.
In 2017 following 11 years practice of various yoga disciplines Andy completed the 200 hour RYT Teacher Training course with Zenko. A profound experience of self-discovery, learning, exploring philosophy and living a yogic life.
Andy is passionate about wellbeing and helping people find balance and live a healthy life, being able to teach this practice to others is a truly awesome experience.
