Jodie first started going to yoga classes to help with back pain and poor posture while working as a dental hygienist. From practicing once a week, to now having a daily practice on the mat, Jodie’s passion for yoga has lead her to complete a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Zenko Yoga. This course has not only reinforced to Jodie the many physical benefits that yoga provides, but also the positive aspects on mental well-being. Jodie loves sharing this incredible practice with everyone.

For me this includes having a positive attitude, a healthy mind/body, courage.
How do you fill up your love tank?
I am just realising now how important it is to fill up my love tank, to keep my engine (body and mind) running smoothly. Taking notice of all the little things that makes me smile, feeling some sunshine on my skin, just being aware of my breathing, taking moments of stillness and rest, making a connection with someone else. Also getting out and about, taking a holiday, a break, to see and experience something new and finding the beauty in life.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
Take that first step! Approach with curiosity, an open mind and just be you. Honour where you are today, without judgement or comparison. Everything you do in life, begins somewhere.
