Kim Kavanagh
Kim found yoga at a time when her body was yearning for movement that was challenging, dynamic, calm and nurturing. As her practice deepened, she experienced a welcome sense of calm and stillness which became invaluable in her busy daily world of teaching four and five year old prep students and raising a family. She loves how yoga leads her on a journey inwards to find more gratitude and presence in her life. After a few trips to India, she decided to study the philosophy and teachings of yoga purely for personal growth. With her love of yoga and a passion for sharing, teaching yoga became a reality. Her desire is to guide and nurture her students to explore and deepen their practice at their own pace in a spirit of playfulness. Her hope is that her students step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
Getting to know the Zenko Team
Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to?
I have two mantras.
I am happy, healthy, healed and whole.
The universe wants to reward you, so let it.
How do you fill up your love tank?
Hanging with family and friends and chilling in my happy places, the beach and on my yoga mat.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
As I say to my preppies, If you don’t give it a go, you’ll never ever know.
