Melissa Mead
When Melissa first started yoga she knew she had discovered something life-changing but couldn’t exactly pin-point why. Physically she became stronger but also started to notice qualities of her day to day life improving.
Being a professional contemporary dancer in her 20s Mel was drawn to vinyasa style classes, she loved the flowing movements as well as the offer to move in your own rhythm without force. Needing to find out more she completed her 200hr YTT in Bali, Indonesia in 2015. This sparked her teaching journey and the more she learnt the deeper she wanted to delve into the teaching aspect of yoga. When Melissa first entered Zenko, Noosa she immediately felt nurtured, inspired with a strong sense of community. Whilst her love of teaching yoga was strong her self-confidence was low. She enrolled in Zenkos part-time 200hr YTT which was ideal being a stay at home mum to her beautiful daughter Nyah. It was here she was supported by all the trainers and given the tools to unlock her untapped potential and confidence. In Melissa’s classes you will find creative sequencing with fluid and powerful movements to suit all levels. Keeping a strong emphasis on breath guided movement Melissa hopes people will leave her classes feeling refreshed, balanced and with a sense of calm. |
