Melissa Tansley
My name is Melissa (Mel) and I have been practicing yoga for about 10 years, but decided to take it a step further last year by becoming a certified teacher here on the Sunshine Coast.
My background in coaching at F45 (just across the road from the Zenko Maroochydore studio) see's my classes intertwine with muscle strengthening, core burning and endorphin releasing goodness and the most relaxing savasana ever!
When I'm not doing yoga or F45 you can catch me at the beach with my husband Luke and two cattle dogs Greg + Nancy or hiking in the hinterland.
Getting to know the Zenko Team
Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to?
"No one ever hurt their eyes, by looking on the brighter side of life" / "Be the change you want to see in the world"
How do you fill up your love tank?
To fill my tank i try to see the ocean every day, even if it's just a drive by. On the weekends I spend time at the beach with my husband + 2 cattle dogs.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
My advice would be, just give it a go! Everyone starts somewhere, so even if you just want to start by touching your toes, work on that and the rest will come naturally. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Trust the teacher and let your mind and body soothe in the benefits.
