Charlie King
Charlie King
Charlie’s yoga journey began after she moved to Australia from the UK. Having battled with anxiety for most of her life, Charlie began to do some soul searching in a bid to find some inner peace and calm and to find a way to nurture both her body and mind. It was then that Charlie plucked up the courage to head to a local Yoga class unaware of the magic that was to come.
Once Charlie established a regular yoga practice, she quickly began to notice the positive impact it was having on her life both on and off the mat. Charlie knew it was a practice she needed to learn more about so she could share it with others as well as deepening her own practice.
In 2020 Charlie undertook her 200hr yoga teacher training with Zenko Yoga and found it to be one of the most wonderful experiences she has had to date. This has ignited a fire within Charlie and she plans to keep building upon her skills in the future by undertaking further study in yoga and meditation.
Charlie loves to nurture others and her gentle nature is reflected in the styles of yoga practices she adores sharing with others. Charlie has a passion for teaching gentle, restorative and yin yoga offering students the opportunity to reconnect to themselves and to nourish their mind, body and spirit as a whole in a safe and nurturing environment. Her smile and positive energy shines through in every class that she teaches and is a true reflection of how this practice makes her feel both inside and out.
When Charlie isn’t on her mat or working as a Radiographer you will be sure to find her somewhere outdoors connecting with nature.
Getting to know the Zenko Team
Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to? Where attention goes, energy flows.
How do you fill up your love tank?I love spending time in nature, practicing yoga and meditation, attending sound healings, taking long walks with my gorgeous dog Sydney, spending time with close friends and loved ones, connecting with like-minded people as well as allowing myself time to be alone to ground and reconnect within.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
Let go of any expectations you may have and walk into the practice with an open heart and mind.
