Katelyn Ticchi
Katelyn found yoga at a time in her life where she was struggling within her personal life, perhaps yoga actually found her. She came to the mat for physical health benefits however she stayed for the philosophy and the holistic benefits. Katelyn credits yoga for transforming the way she views the world, interactions with others and lives her life. Inspiring her to change careers and shift from helping people as a registered nurse to helping people through Ayurvedic offerings (yoga’s sister modality/philosophy) and through yogic practices. Feeling the benefits to her own life, Katelyn is passionate about sharing these practices to others that seek them.
Katelyn completed her 200ytt in 2018 in Vinyasa and Hatha and is currently studying an additional 150hrs in Tantric Hatha. Katelyn is also currently studying her diploma in Ayurveda and intends of specialising in women’s health. Katelyn is inspired by the power of sacred feminine connection and has facilitated women’s circles for her community back in Victoria in alignment with the moon’s cycle. Katelyn’s classes aim to weave yogic philosophy into yogic practice, ensuring pranayama and meditation are given a platform for exploration along with the asanas while sprinkling in some Ayurvedic wisdom into the class where it aligns. er own per Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to? In times of worry/concern/change - I remind myself to just trust - I am exactly where I am meant to be - It all happens for a reason. How do you fill up your love tank? Every week it is different depending on my cycle. However usually - time in nature allowing Mother Nature to hold me in her mountains, under her trees, in the warmth of her sun sets final glow or in the depth of her oceans usually fills me right back up. This and lots of quality time and cuddles with my loved ones. What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time? If you find yourself feeling agitated, stressed or wishing to be somewhere other than in the present moment, I recommend gifting yourself the experience of trying yoga. Come with an open mind and heart without any expectations or judgements of what you will/won’t be able to do, trust the teacher, the practice and yourself and see where the class takes you within :) Handy hint - close your eyes if you’re too busy watching others (when able to) it will help bring you back inside :) |
