In search of some inner peace Sophie turned to yoga to aid her during a personally challenging time. However, what she found was so much more. Sophie now has a dedicated personal practice, which she turns to in order to bring her balance, energy and both physical and mental strength.
Sophie has studied and is working as an osteopath allowing her to expand her healing capabilities through multiple avenues.
Sophie has had a dedicated personal practice over the past few years and has recently completed her 200 HR Teacher Training with Zenko Yoga in hope to share her passion and pure joy with others. Sophie believes there is nowhere else she would rather teach than the very place that helped her fall in love with yoga and herself.

Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to?
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Sutra 9. Book Two- Sadhana Pada
Aversion is that which follows identification with painful experiences.
“Happiness is like the musk deer. The ancient scriptures have a fable about this animal, which has a scented spot above its forehead that gives off the musk fragrance. This deer runs here and there in search of the scent, not knowing the scent comes from its own forehead. Just like that, happiness is already in us”.
How do you fill up your love tank?
Spending time in solitude. Whether that is with a cup of my favourite chai tea or coffee, sitting and listening to the waves or watching the colours change in the sky. There is nothing I find more fulfilling than sitting and being at peace amongst my own company.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
It may just change your world, why would you give it a second thought?!
