After dabbling in yoga for a few years at the gym, Terri embarked on a life changing (& saving) yoga journey when Zenko first opened their doors. The studio became the new obsession (and safe space!) to help her through the long & extremely challenging road to motherhood.
Never did she imagine she would one day be teaching. But after her own personal mental health challenges, followed by a family member taking their own life - she KNEW she had to share the magic of yoga with others, and so the journey to yoga teacher began.
Terri loves how moving with breath makes you “Feel ALL the feels”. In the studio, she’s laughed, cried, slept & snored - not all in the same class though!
When not teaching at Zenko, or with her family, Terri spends her time sharing the yoga magic with our youngest generations, our children.
Do you have a mantra/quote that you often turn to?
Yes! “Don’t waste energy on the things you can’t change, there is no future in the past.”
How do you fill up your love tank?
By keeping up a regular yoga practice, enjoying the healing energies of the beach & ocean, and of course, spending time with my nearest & dearest.
What advice would you give someone wondering whether to try yoga for the first time?
Do it! You’ve got absolutely nothing to lose, and it could just change your life.
