​Course Overview
This course will enable yoga teachers to confidently guide and teach women during their prenatal and postpartum period.

This course will not only cover the practical knowledge you’ll need to teach pregnancy and postnatal yoga, but will also delve into how you can support women through the emotional, mental and spiritual journey that is involved in the sacred transition into motherhood.  

Suitable for yoga teachers, midwives, doulas, postpartum doulas, counsellors or anyone who works with women during the perinatal period.

Key Learning Outcomes
The topics covered will include:
  • Asana and Pranayama for each of the three trimesters and the postpartum period
  • Teaching techniques, sequencing and class themes for pregnancy and postpartum
  • Anatomy and physiology considerations for pregnancy and the postnatal period
  • Mantra, meditations and visualisations for pregnancy, birth and postpartum
  • Yoga tools for labour and birth
  • Postnatal yoga for recovery
  • Mums and Bubs yoga - benefits, considerations, including bub in yoga poses and class sequencing
